How do I sell my clothing to My Best Friend's Closet?

1. Bring your clothing & accessories to our store in a plastic bag.
2. We will go through them looking for style and condition.
3. Then we will write down the items we would like to purchase.
4. If you decide not to sell your items at the price we offer you can always take your items back. It is all up to you.

What should I do when I first get to the store?

You can bring your items right into the buy station (counter at back of store). There will be a clip board with a piece of paper on it. Each paper has a number, this will be your number for the day. Fill out the top portion of the page. The questions will be your name, phone number, address, how you heard about us, how many bags you have, and what your bag looks like.

You will also need to sign the bottom of the page, agreeing that the items are yours and that you agree to sell them and pick up the remaining items by the end of the day.

What items does My Best Friend's Closet buy?

We buy gently used, name brand clothing, shoes, and accessories. We cater to the styles of the last 2 years of teen and young adults.

Why do you only take styles of the last two years of teen and young adults?

These are the styles that sell best in My Best Friend’s Closet. We do not have room to cater to all styles and all ages. Please do not take it personal, we just know what sells best in our store.

What are possible reasons you won’t take my items?

The most likely reasons we will not take your items are, but is not limited to: Styles older than 2 years, condition, mature styles, overstocked, styles harder to sell or unpleasant odor. Conditions may be staining, fading, wearing, misshapen, seems coming out, etc.

Will you call me?

We won’t call you, unless we have a question about your buy or you have not picked up your items at the end of the day. We usually will not call for the second reason.

What does "my bag look like" mean?

When you come back to pick up your items it is easy if we know what we are looking for in the big stack of bags. If your bag is black, put black. If it is a walmart bag put walmart bag. Just describe what the bag looks like that your items are in.

When can I sell my items?

Monday – Friday 10-4.

Will I always get cash for my items?

We have a allotted amount of money for buying clothing each week. If we have a really busy day we may run out of money before the end of the week. It is a good idea to call - 715-855-8333 - before you are coming in order to find out if we still have cash to spend.

Why do I have to bring them in a plastic bag?

Plastic bags are easier to stack and take up less room.

How long will it take?

We work on a first come first serve basis, so it completely depends on how many people are before you. We will always let you know how long and you can come back in that time or anytime before the end of the day. We do require you to pick up your items by 7pm the same day, or they will be donated.
